Munachimso Anyanwu is a dedicated high school senior from West-Windsor Plainsboro High School South in New Jersey passionate about nursing and leadership. She has actively pursued diverse extracurricular and community-building activities to prepare for her college experience. Through enrichment programs like the National Youth Leadership Forum and the Pre-Nursing Program at Mercer County Technical Schools, Muna has acquired practical clinical skills, from suturing to monitoring vital signs, alongside in-depth knowledge of patient ethics and medical terminology to prepare for her college and career in the Nursing field. 
 
Munachimso's engagement extends beyond academics. She has taken on multifaceted roles within her school, leading as a Student Producer for the Fall Drama and the Vice President of the Black Student Union. Her involvement in clubs like the Knitting & Crocheting Club and the Red Cross showcases a compassionate commitment and dedication to making a change within her community by helping those in need. Munachimso is also an athlete at her school and was the Team Captain for the Junior Varsity Volleyball team. She currently participates in both the Spring and Indoor Tracks. 
 
You'll find her sewing, crocheting, or watching dramas when she isn't studying or volunteering.

John Lewis believed in the passion, persistence, and power of the people, particularly young citizens, to effect change from their kitchen tables and to never give up. NSHSS honors Representative Lewis's legacy with the John Lewis Good Trouble Scholarship for students who embody the ideals of 'good trouble'.
