Tianna Tout-Puissant
My name is Tianna Tout-Puissant and I attend Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA. I am honored to accept the Claes Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship 2021. I am so grateful, this scholarship will allow me to continue pursuing my academic goals. I hope to make a positive impact on society through my future career in medicine as a surgeon by saving lives every day. I am also extremely passionate about improving the disparities in the education system, especially among the African American community. A quality education is essential for a well functioning society and access to various, imperative careers. As I look forward, I understand the important role my college education will play in my impact on society. I want to use my success to ensure that all children will have the same access to academic institutions rich in education and beyond. I am truly passionate about basketball, tennis, cooking, baking, and ceramics. These passions have grounded and propelled me to achieve high levels of academic success. In college, I look forward to applying my knowledge in math and science to understand contemporary medicine and give a voice to those that feel overlooked.
The NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship recognizes high school juniors and seniors making a positive impact on society, and how college will help these students continue to make an impact for years to come.
