Kimberly Hackett
Kimberly Hackett has been a business and marketing education teacher for the past 28 years and currently works at Triton High School as the Business/Marketing Department Chair, FBLA Co-Advisor, DECA Advisor, Cross Country Coach, and Track Ladies Coach. She has been involved with FBLA for over 25 years and DECA for 6 years, where she always stresses the importance of being involved in student service organizations in high school. Whether it's DECA, FFBLA, FFA, HOSA, FCCLA, or even Skills USA. She believes these organizations can help a student determine their specialty or expertise for later in life. She’s an active participant in her church and likes to travel with her boys to provide them with various cultural learning opportunities along the East Coast.
The Educator of the Year Awards are presented annually to exemplary educators who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to preparing students for success in college and in life. These awardees model best practices in teaching or administration inside and outside of the classroom, are peer role models, and demonstrate outstanding leadership and excellence in education. Any NSHSS Educator teaching high school has the opportunity to apply.
