Teresa Hamilton
Teresa Hamilton is a dedicated Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) educator with a passion for equipping students with practical life skills. Currently teaching at Lafayette County High School, Teresa Hamilton focuses on fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students learn about nutrition, financial literacy, sewing, life skills and culinary arts. As an advocate for student wellness, Teresa Hamilton initiated a school food pantry to support students facing food insecurities. Teresa Hamilton was recently awarded Teacher of the Month and is also a candidate for city council, further demonstrating their commitment to community service and education. Teresa Hamilton plans to use the NSHSS grant to ensure every student has access to the necessary school supplies for success in their educational endeavors.
NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is giving four (4) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
