NSHSS Member Event at Columbia University — September 19, Alfred Lerner Hall, NYC
Calling all Members!
On Saturday, September 19th, 2026, the National Society of High School Scholars is hosting a one-day Member Event at Columbia University. This event will be an amazing opportunity to network with fellow members from across the country, to meet new friends, and to meet member alumni.
This is an incredible chance to fully integrate yourself in the NSHSS community. And besides, who doesn’t want to see NYC at the end of summer? If this is calling your name, then check out below for more details.
Continental breakfast
- Every member will be welcomed by an amazing meal to kick off the event during the networking breakfast.
Engaging Educational Sessions
- The day will have a select number of sessions to help educate members on everything from internships, study habits, and college preparation.
- NSHSS Partners like CollegeAdvisor.com, Horton Test Prep, and Hello College will have sessions to answer all of your questions!
College & Career Fair
- The College & Career Fair is a fantastic way for members both old and young to meet and swap stories. Just like in college, this will be a chance to meet the people who might have internships available, or even future jobs when the time comes. You won’t want to miss this chance to find your next career path.
Networking
- Just like with every member event, this will be a day filled with networking possibilities. We want to take a moment to say that we understand those of you who might be a bit nervous. That's okay! We cannot say enough how relaxed and fun networking inside the NSHSS community can be. Think about it this way, you’re a member just like them, and great minds think alike, so you’ll fit right in.

Academic Recognition
- Finally, these events are a chance for the NSHSS leaders to recognize the students’ hard work, both in college, high school, and now even middle school. We want to see you there so we can celebrate your achievements!

For the past few years, we have hosted these amazing events, and each one has been even better than the last. We have an amazing group of members, both in school and graduated, who love getting to meet one another.
