Event Agenda

Attendees will check in with a digital or printed copy of their tickets, and members will receive name badges.

Attendees will be able to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors. NSHSS will provide a catered continental breakfast for all event participants to enjoy while they speak to exhibitors and other members!

NSHSS will welcome attendees to campus, and then members will hear some helpful information about Columbia University

Join Summer Springboard to discover how pre-college experiences can help teens explore academic interests, test-drive future majors and careers, and discover what living on a college campus is like. Learn how immersive programs on top university campuses combine hands-on learning, mentorship, and college readiness to help students build confidence, gain clarity about their goals, and take meaningful steps toward a successful future.

Attendees will have the chance to gather information from College & Career Fair exhibitors, explore the Columbia campus, and visit nearby eateries for lunch on their own.

Multiple NSHSS scholarship winners will discuss how they made their applications stand out from the rest of the applicant pool, and members will learn valuable tips on showcasing their academic and community accomplishments!

NSHSS Scholarship Winners will be recognized on stage and will receive their scholarship checks!

Members will hear congratulatory remarks and be invited on stage to receive their own NSHSS honor medallion as part of their induction into the society!

Event Details

This event will take place on the 1st floor of Alfred Lerner Hall on the Columbia University campus. Please enter the event through the double doors off Broadway.

Due to the city location, event attendees should plan to take the subway to 116th St—Columbia University Station or rideshare to the venue. Parking is limited but may be available in the garages designated on the linked Columbia parking website. 

We recommend that you register as soon as possible. Seating is limited, and registration will close once we reach the venue's maximum capacity. Only those who register via Eventbrite will be admitted to the event.

While NSHSS will provide hotel recommendations and transit/parking tips, all attendees are responsible for getting to and from the event location on our own. 

Are you interested in volunteering at this event? As a volunteer, you can still attend the sessions you are interested in throughout the day while helping out behind the scenes to earn volunteer service hours!

2:00 PM: Exhibitor Move-out
