Anahat Chhatwal
Anahat Kaur Chhatwal is a dynamic leader passionate about community advocacy, STEM education, and empowering youth. She is the founder of EmpowerED, a global youth-led non-profit with 8 chapters internationally and over 100 volunteers, providing accessible STEM opportunities to students through initiatives that have reached over 1,000 participants. Anahat also leads Breezecode, a female-focused computer science club aimed at fostering confidence and collaboration among young women in STEM. As Co-Director of her school’s Global Action Council, she organizes impactful events, such as fundraisers for Ukrainian refugees, uniting her peers to address global issues. She is also a STEM Coach and First Lego League Team Coach at Envision Robotics, where she teaches robotics, coding, and various other STEAM topics to inspire the next generation of innovators. Anahat’s dedication to service extends to her volunteer work as an assistant teacher at her local Punjabi school, helping preserve her Sikh cultural heritage. Recently recognized with the Youth Bringing Life to Human Rights Award by York Regional Police and United for Human Rights Canada, Anahat exemplifies a commitment to positive change. With an unwavering drive to inspire others, she continuously seeks innovative ways to bridge communities and empower future leaders.
