Jackson Nesbit recently graduated from Sun Prairie East High School. While he was a student, he participated in many extracurricular activities, including the National Honors Society, Drama and Musical Productions, FFA, Forensics, and Envirothon. He was a three-time state champion in Forensics Play Acting, competed at the national level for FFA in Prepared Public Speaking and Environmental Science, and competed internationally with his Envirothon team in New Brunswick, Canada. Outside of school, Jackson volunteers to support environmental causes, teaches students about nature at local wildlife areas, and mentors students with special needs to perform a full musical production each summer. Jackson currently is completing an internship at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center. He will attend college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Conservation Biology and Communication Arts. He aspires to have a career where he can persist in learning about different aspects of the environment and commit to sharing what he learns with others to promote a sustainable future.
