Docera Medical Intensive Scholarship
Full scholarship valued at $1,499 toward enrollment in Docera's Medical Intensive for Summer 2027
NSHSS members currently enrolled in high school, grades 9–12
Scholarship Details:
The Docera Medical Intensive is a rigorous, physician-led program for high school students who want to explore medicine beyond traditional classroom science. Through live, interactive instruction, students learn how physicians approach disease, interpret clinical information, and make decisions about patient care, with the opportunity to complete an independent medical project guided by Docera's physician-led team.
Program Format:
- Dates: July 6, 2027 – August 24, 2027 (live sessions every Tuesday evening)
- Time: 7:30–8:45 PM EST
- Location: Virtual, via Zoom
- Number of sessions: Eight
- Tuition value: $1,499
The selected student is expected to attend and actively participate in the live sessions.

Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated interest in medicine or healthcare
- Thoughtfulness and clarity of responses
- Academic curiosity
- Evidence of initiative and personal motivation
- Potential to benefit from the program
- Ability to attend and participate fully
- Financial circumstances may also be considered if included in the application
Note: the scholarship is not awarded solely on grades, test scores, or number of extracurriculars. Applications completed using AI will be removed.

- Sincere interest in medicine, healthcare, or biomedical science
- Willingness to attend and actively participate in live sessions (Tuesday evenings, July–August)
- No prior research, clinical, or advanced medical knowledge required
