Clara Thompson
Dr. Clara Thompson is the College Counselor at Westfield High School in Spring ISD, serving over 2,600 students. She has served in education for 29 years and considers it an honor to pour hope and positivity into each student's life. Her passion and dedication to serving students open unlimited opportunities to meet their needs and maximize their ability to "reach for the stars." Effective communication with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the community is the key to success because it truly does "take a village to raise a child."
The NSHSS College Counselor Appreciation Award has been created to honor hardworking counselors who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to preparing students for success in life. These awardees are steadfast advocates for their students, are peer role models, and demonstrate excellent educational leadership and excellence. Any high school counselor has the opportunity to apply.
