Hermia Simanu
Hermia Simanu is a teacher from American Samoa with twenty-three years of teaching experience. She has taught in the elementary for sixteen years, and this is her seventh year teaching in high school. Inspiring and motivating students is her passion. Her main passion is embedded in her efforts to find different strategies to help her local Samoan students attain and retain information and concepts taught in the classroom. Most important of all is for the students to be able to apply what is learned to the real world.
NSHSS is awarding five (5) $1,000 grants for Advanced Placement teachers to use for supplies, materials, field trips, or other supplemental aids to enhance the delivery of Advanced Placement courses. Any NSHSS Educator teaching an Advanced Placement course in any field is eligible to apply.
