Kerae Joonsar
Kerae Joonsar teaches all levels of Spanish at Osborne High School in Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Washington, D.C., and attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Karae had an opportunity to study abroad in Mexico City, Mexico, and fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. Most of her AP students are native Spanish speakers, and she is always searching for engaging, culturally relevant experiences where students can connect learning experiences to their culture. Her ultimate goal as a Spanish teacher is to help her students develop confidence and identity that will last far beyond their high school years.
NSHSS is awarding five (5) $1,000 grants for Advanced Placement teachers to use for supplies, materials, field trips, or other supplemental aids to enhance the delivery of Advanced Placement courses. Any NSHSS Educator teaching an Advanced Placement course in any field is eligible to apply.
