Khumbo Kamanga
Khumbo Kamanga graduated in 2013 with his Bachelor of Education in Social Studies from the University of Malawi-Chancellor College. He has taught Geography and Social Studies at Njamba Secondary School in Blantyre, Malawi, since 2015. As a teacher, he is passionate about improving geographical education in Malawi. He desires to see secondary school students across Malawi excel in Geography, which is regarded as a complicated and rigorous subject in the country. He also desires to see geographical teaching materials supplied to his fellow Geography teachers in all the secondary schools across Malawi. Most importantly, he endeavors to create opportunities and platforms to help Geography teachers in Malawi network and share effective teaching methods in Geography. Khumbo is also an environmental and climate change activist passionate about volunteering for national and global organizations and activities pertaining to environmental and climate change progress. Currently, he is a volunteer member of Go Green Save the Environment Malawi.
NSHSS is providing 1 $500 grant to be used during 2025 to help defray costs of educational conference registration, travel, and accommodations.
