Lashonta Flemister teaches Computer Science at Hiram HS in the Paulding County School District in Georgia. Mrs. Flemister is in her 21st year as an educator. She is a conference presenter on "Best Practices of Classroom Management". She has also published an article on "Strengthening Work-Based Learning with Perkins V". Mrs. Flemister loves using drones, microbits, spheros and virtual reality to engage her students in Computer Science.
NSHSS is providing eight (8) $1,000 grants to enhance STEAM-related activities, innovation, and classroom excellence for teachers in a STEAM field. Funds may be used for supplies, materials, field trips or other resources to enhance the delivery of their courses.
