Stephen Sullivan
"Retired, sort of" in 2018 from his position as history teacher/behavioral science mentor at Lawrence Public Schools, Dr. Stephen Sullivan immediately took over as (full-time) Research Director of Life, Physical & Behavioral Sciences at Sacred Heart Academy. In his four years at SHA, his young ladies have presented original environmental, psychological, and geographic research at national and regional conferences, earned honors in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, and published nine articles in peer-reviewed journals. SHA introduced a successful AP Capstone program in 2020, coordinated by Dr. Sullivan. Meanwhile, Stephen maintains an active research agenda himself, sharing work-in-progress and peer-reviewer comments with the girls. He gladly "walks a mile in their shoes," so to speak.
