Teresa Hodge
Teresa Hodge is a computer science teacher at a rural Alabama school, Hazel Green High. She has a Master's degree in Chemistry and Education and has completed her Computer Science certification. At Hazel Green High, Mrs. Hodge teaches both AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. Over the last few years, she has worked at expanding enrollment in both class and has increased her numbers by over 75%. She will be using this grant money to buy hands on robotic equipment to increase her student's excitement and interest in the computer science field.
NSHSS is awarding five (5) $1,000 grants for Advanced Placement teachers to use for supplies, materials, field trips, or other supplemental aids to enhance the delivery of Advanced Placement courses. Any NSHSS Educator teaching an Advanced Placement course in any field is eligible to apply.
