Ukaegbu Ukaegbu
As one of the Duval High School educators, Ukaegbu Ukaegbu is committed to providing a flexible, safe, and differentiated student-centered education, wherein all learners are ready for college and careers in a global society. With a background in science, Ukaegbu holds two teacher credentials, one in Science (Physics) and the other in Mathematics. Ukaegbu’s teaching career started in 2009 in California, but joined Duval High School in 2016 where he has taught various mathematics courses. Ukaegbu currently teach AP Precalculus and Foundations for College Algebra. However, AP Precalculus prepares students for other college-level mathematics. Through regular practice, students build deep mastery of modeling and functions, and they examine scenarios through multiple representations.
Ukaegbu received the Educator of Distinction Award from the NSHSS years ago, and now a recipient of the NSHSS Advanced Placement (AP) Educator Grant 2024.
NSHSS is awarding five (5) $1,000 grants for Advanced Placement teachers to use for supplies, materials, field trips, or other supplemental aids to enhance the delivery of Advanced Placement courses. Any NSHSS Educator teaching an Advanced Placement course in any field is eligible to apply.
