Stand Up And Be Recognized

NSHSS recognizes today's top high school scholars and provides access to exclusive opportunities through membership. If you are interested in joining NSHSS but haven't received an invitation, find out if you qualify and learn more about how to get your personal invitation so you too can be recognized and benefit from all that NSHSS has to offer. 

Member Qualifications

NSHSS recognizes young scholars who have demonstrated excellence through their academic achievements based on objective criteria, including grades and test scores. Students must meet any one of the following criteria to be considered for membership. 

 

3.5 Cumulative GPA (4.0 Scale) or higher (or equivalent such as 88 on a 100-point scale)

1280 SAT score or higher (new exam 2016)*

1150 PSAT score or higher (new exam 2016)*

26 ACT score or higher

Score 4 or higher on any AP exam

Total combined IB test scores of 40 or higher

Top 10% rank in class

*Scores from the old exam (SAT score 1750 or higher; PSAT score 200 or higher) will be accepted.

How To Get An Invitation To NSHSS

If you haven't received an invitation in the mail or by email, here are the steps you'll need to take to get your personal invitation to NSHSS. 

Find an Educator to Nominate You
Ask a trusted teacher, counselor or high school administrator to nominate you. You may search for an NSHSS Educator of Distinction at your high school by searching the EOD Database.
Educator Nominates You
Ask a high school educator to complete the quick online nomination form. Be sure to provide your email and mailing address to the nominating educator.
Look For Your Envelope
Within a few short weeks, your exclusive invitation to NSHSS will arrive in your mailbox containing a special code you can use to accept your invitation.
