NSHSS Renews Partnership with Outward Bound Costa Rica
NSHSS is proud to renew its partnership of many years with Outward Bound Costa Rica (OBCR), which works with young adults to help them develop and grow as leaders, build their confidence, and gain real world skills through adventure based learning.
The OBCR Summer and Semester courses use the rainforests, rivers, and reefs of Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua as their classroom. Students can build their resume by obtaining outdoor certifications, earning academic credits, gaining service hours, and developing their Spanish language skills. Participants are encouraged to push themselves out of their comfort zones to discover new inner strengths and learn more about the world around them.
“Outward Bound Costa Rica’s programs create environments that allow for personal and leadership development through challenges, group effort, and cross-cultural understanding,” said Jim Rowe, Executive Director of OBCR.
NSHSS is happy to continue its close partnership with OBCR to encourage young adults to develop life skills through outdoor adventure activities and experiential learning.
