The National Society of High School Scholars is proud to offer educators the opportunity to recognize young scholars by nominating students for NSHSS membership and scholarship opportunities. Teachers and educators, with your nomination, your chosen students will receive an invitation to join NSHSS to access scholarships, college admissions counsel, and advanced networking opportunities.
Each year, NSHSS connects its members with over $2.5 million in scholarships, along with resources to help students successfully transition from high school to college, and then from college to career.
As an educator, you have the special privilege to match your highest achieving students with the chance to acquire financial aid through the various NSHSS scholarships. Qualifying students must meet any one of the following membership requirements for scholarship consideration:
- 3.5 Cumulative GPA (4.0 Scale) or higher (or equivalent such as 88 on a 100-point scale)
- 1280 SAT score or higher
- 1150 PSAT score or higher
- 26 ACT score or higher
- Score 4 or higher on any AP exam
- Total combined IB test scores of 36 or higher
- IGCSE Grade A or higher
- Top 10% rank in class
The first step to nominating a student is to become a registered educator. To become a registered educator, you must complete the form on the NSHSS website, and submit your information.
If you are already a NSHSS-registered educator, you can go straight to the nomination process. To begin, simply log in to your dashboard and fulfill the prompt to nominate your student to the most relevant scholarship offered. With scholarship opportunities in the areas of academic excellence, entrepreneurship, leadership, literature, medicine, music, STEM, sustainability, visual arts, and more, NSHSS is always excited to recognize those students who go above and beyond to achieve their goals--both academically and otherwise.
Many of our scholarships are open and now accepting applications! Should you have a student in mind whom you’d like to nominate for a scholarship, head over to our nomination page to initiate the process today and to help mold a student’s future.
