Meet the speakers:

Hilary Kinney

Director of Community at Civics Unplugged

In this role, Hilary manages CU’s alumni network and the programming and platforms that support young civic innovators, including CU’s digital alumni platforms, funding opportunities, and alumni events. At CU, she combines her background in education, politics, and organizing to create spaces optimized for collaboration and community-building. She is a graduate of the Hunter College School of Education and West Virginia University's Reed College of Media.

 

Adiah Price-Tucker

Director of Programs at Civics Unplugged

In her role, Adiah dedicates her time to curriculum development and program management for CU’s virtual Fellowship and in-person Academies. She is a graduate of Harvard University where she studied Sociology and African American studies. She combines her passion for educational equity and research background in the formulation of meaningful learning experiences.

Zoë Jenkins

Recruitment and Admissions Associate at Civics Unplugged

In her role, she manages the admissions process for CU’s fellowship and academies and recruits future civic innovators to be a part of CU’s programs. She founded the Get Schooled podcast and is a Senior Advisor of the Kentucky Student Voice Team. She has worked with Stanford University and The Nobel Prize and has been featured in The Washington Post and NPR’s All Things Considered. Zoë was also selected as a National Geographic Young Explorer for her work in expanding education storytelling among Kentucky’s least-heard students. Zoë is a fourth year at the University of Virginia studying Youth and Social Innovation and Political and Social Thought where she continues to elevate the power of storytelling and dialogue through the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society.
