Meet our Student Panelists

Michelle Rozenfeld

Michelle Rozenfeld is an award-winning high school senior at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ, and an active environmentalist, researcher, and writer. In her role advocating for planetary health, Michelle has presented her scientific research at the NJ Academy of Science, the Extreme Heat Workshop at Columbia University, and published in The Climate Club online, peer-reviewed forum https://www.theclimateclub.co/ (TCC). Among her competitive awards are NASA’s “Earth Systems Science Project Award,” which recognized Michelle’s soil microbiome research study as the “project that best demonstrates insight into Earth’s interconnected systems,” and first place in NJ Future Farmers of America (FFA) Agriscience Fair, Division V: Environmental Services/Natural Systems. Michelle maintains two blogs, where she posts her research-based articles on climate issues and consumers’ misconceptions on the environmental impact of food choices. To inspire fellow youth to act, Michelle founded a youth chapter of TCC, CLI-MED, and serves as an ambassador for the American Cancer Society, Cancer Action Network. Michelle is currently working on her book, examining Green Careers to inspire and inform teens, Teen Climate Changers. She is also an avid reader and cook.

Malcolm Ginwalla

Malcolm is a junior at Palo Alto High School in California and is actively involved in leadership, academics, and athletics. Malcolm is passionate about tennis, journalism, and supporting the neurodiverse community. At school, he serves as Athletic Commissioner, writes for Viking magazine, competes on the varsity tennis team, and excels in varsity extemporaneous speaking and parliamentary debate. Malcom is also the founder of ACEing Autism in Palo Alto, a nonprofit for children with autism. In addition, he represents his class on the Principal Advisory Committee and my community on the Palo Alto Youth Council.

Aaron George

Aaron George is a junior in Austin, TX, with a deep passion for science, technology, and innovation. He has received prestigious honors, including the Lemelson Early Inventor Award and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair Grand Award. Aaron is a skilled student pilot, Cadet Master Sergeant in Civil Air Patrol, and the President and Founder of STEMVest, a nonprofit providing global STEM resources. He has been involved in science fairs since fourth grade, earning numerous awards, and excels academically with dual enrollment at The University of Texas. Aaron has interned as a General Surgeon's Intern and Software Developer Intern, and in 2023, participated in the Yale Young Global Scholars and Harvard Summer School programs. He also raised $23,000 through a fundraising gala and was selected as a Texas High School Aerospace Scholar by NASA. With leadership, academic success, and community engagement, Aaron is a promising STEM leader and aspiring flight surgeon.
