Aanyah Abdullah
Aanyah Abdullah is an award-winning author and has won several awards for her service projects and publication, including the Dolly Gray Literature Award, the KVUE Five Kids Who Care Award, the KVUE Our Future Award, the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Her children’s book My Friend Suhana has sold over two thousand copies and is carried by over 140 libraries throughout the United States. She is passionate about serving those with disabilities and other challenges. Aanyah founded Project Empowerment––a free online anti-bullying program designed to foster empathy and courage in young girls. She plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin as a Health Science Scholar majoring in biology. She aims to become a neonatologist who provides diagnostic, interventional, and evidence-based care to preterm babies.
