Angelina Borisen
Angelina, a senior at North Farmington High School in Michigan, plans to pursue biological sciences at Florida State University and later attend medical school. Throughout her pre-health journey, she has actively engaged with her local community and hospitals, including a surgical mentorship at Henry Ford Hospital, genetics research on schizophrenia and epilepsy with MiRcore, a summer program at the University of Michigan Medicine, hospital shadowing, and volunteering at a local hospitals and food bank. She founded the first pre-med club at her high school and is actively involved in the National Honor Society, American Red Cross club, Student Senate, and HOSA. Beyond academic and community involvement, Angelina takes dual enrollment classes at her local community college. Fluent in three languages and working on her fourth, she has a passion for travel and cultural exploration, frequently visiting her family in Bulgaria. Angelina also enjoys cooking and is interested in learning about investments as she eagerly anticipates the next chapter in her life.
