Ariana Awiszus
Ariana is a junior in high school attending Cretin-Derham Hall in St Paul, MN. She received an academic scholarship and a four-year leadership scholarship at her school. She is the founder of Homework Aid, offering virtual free tutoring in all subjects to children in grades K-6. She is a competitive dancer and won national awards for solo and group dances. Ariana is interested in pursuing neuroscience as a major in college. She is enrolled in Stanford University Neuroscience Journal Club and conducted research accepted for presentation at their High school Forum. Also, Ariana loves interacting with children; besides tutoring, she is also a ski instructor and works as a teacher's aide during the summer.
The NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship recognizes high school juniors and seniors making a positive impact on society, and how college will help these students continue to make an impact for years to come.
