Ashley Crosby

Ashley Crosby is a first-year student at the University of Virginia who hopes to attend the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Throughout her early education career at Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida she was the President of the Speech & Debate Team, Drum Major of the Tiger Regiment Marching Band. She created her very own political podcast called Politically Minded Gal. Her achievements in debate include earning 5th place at the George Mason University Patriot Games (2023), qualifying and competing in the National Speech and Debate Association's National Tournament (2022), advancing to the semifinal round at the University of Pennsylvania Liberty Bell Classic (2023) and the quarterfinal round at the Harvard University National Debate Tournament (2024). Ashley has a significant interest in politics and hopes to attend law school which she shows through her podcast, Politically Minded Gal, which aims to educate her generation on the state of American politics and democracy and how to think critically about politics. The currently 24 Politically Minded Gal episodes have received over 1,200 streams, spanning 20 states and seven countries.
