Dev Shroff
Dev Shroff is a high school senior in the Engineering Academy at Lawrence E. Elkins High School. He is deeply committed to positively impacting the local and global community. He has a robust academic record and has received the President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence twice and the Academic Excellence Award in his school district for all three of his past high school years.
Moreover, he has an extensive community service background. In his high school years, Dev has served many roles in and out of his school. He is currently the Co-President of the Round Table, his school newspaper. In addition, he has been working for Educating the World Association, a non-profit, as a writer, researcher, and Outreach Coordinator. He has also been on the Board of the Hidden Dream, another non-profit, where he manages the website. Dev is associated with several other local, regional, and national non-profit organizations. Dev has earned the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award (PVSA) three times through his community service. Dev’s interests include promoting sustainable transportation globally through the use of computer vision and by making human-computer interaction more efficient.
The NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship recognizes high school juniors and seniors making a positive impact on society, and how college will help these students continue to make an impact for years to come.
