Kangyi Zhou
Kangyi Zhou is a student at Walt Whitman High School and has a passion in molecular biology. She is the founder of AgeAcuity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making the world more age-friendly! Through her leadership, she has spearheaded initiatives to raise awareness of aging-related issues and foster intergenerational connections, from starting an art therapy program to speaking at national conventions. Beyond her work with AgeAcuity, she is deeply involved in research, focusing on topics ranging from cancer to neurodegenerative diseases. Her passion for advocacy and public health policy has led her to engage in various activities, including completing a fellowship with a politician running for Congress, which further fueled her interest in the intersection of science, policy, and public health. In the future, she aspires to pursue an MD/PhD, integrating scientific research with practical applications in healthcare and policy.
