Melissa Thomas
Melissa Thomas goes to Briar Woods High School and Academies of Loudoun. She is the Virginia State Parliamentarian of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) organization and a Youth Ambassador for the Capital Region of the national organization Young Women in Biology. Melissa is a part of the Science Olympiad, the National Honors Society, and the Technology Student Association (TSA). She is also a TEDx Speaker and attended the Virginia Residential Governor's School for Science, Math, and Technology.
Outside of school, Melissa likes to play pool and Sudoku and help out her community as a Girl Scout. In the future, she looks forward to a career in business and science. She strives to work hard in college and positively impact a community that matters to her.
The NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship recognizes high school juniors and seniors making a positive impact on society, and how college will help these students continue to make an impact for years to come.
