Eglantine Plisson wrote her International Baccalaureate Extended Essay on the motifs used by Bong Joon Ho in his film Parasite to discover how they comment on the power dynamics between the Kim's and the Parks. She was curious to explore the more specific and convoluted ways Bong's thematic choices tied back into current-day Korean social polarization and the subtle underlying power shifts between the characters.
