Sania Patel
Sania Patel is a high school senior living in Cologne, Germany, through the CBYX Abroad Program. Sania found her passion for human rights after exploring her interests in politics and international law. Fascinated by totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, Sania is well-educated in Russia, ‘Nazi’ Germany, and North Korea. Sania explicitly advocates for marginalized groups, such as the African American community (through BLM) and the LGTBQ+ community. She is also highly passionate about all sectors of women’s rights. Sania is also the non-profit founder and CEO of The Living Library and Global Free Humans. In the future, Sania hopes to complete an undergraduate education focusing on linguistics, education, and human rights. She later hopes to focus on public health and international law. Sania is an avid reader, runner, and tennis player outside of her work. She loves exploring new ideas and venturing to new places to expand her worldview and understanding.
