Stephanie Tamkee
Stephanie is a recent high school graduate from Vancouver, Canada who will be attending the University of British Columbia to study Environmental Science. Her experiences being outside as a kid and volunteering with the Environmental Youth Alliance has inspired her to pursue a career that addresses environmental and social issues with an intersectional lens. Stephanie has co-founded the STEM Sorority Club at her school to create a safe and encouraging space for everyone, especially girls and non-binary individuals, to explore STEM careers. She also coordinated a Climate Action Workshop at her school to provide BIPOC students with a paid leadership opportunity and younger students with a unique and fun climate education experience. Stephanie hopes that these projects can provide youth with safe spaces to explore their identity and passions, and she hopes to continue this learning into university.
