Intern Readiness Certificate Program

Intern Readiness Certificate Program

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) is launching its NEWEST resource, the Intern Readiness Certificate Program (IRCP) to help prepare students for successful internship experiences. We have learned from our members that many are seeking internships, wanting to be more competitive, and are eager to have a successful internship. Additionally, many employers have indicated that they will benefit greatly from interns that are ready to perform when they begin their internship experience. The Intern Readiness Certificate Program (IRCP) was created to meet the needs and goals of both the student and the employer.
The Intern Readiness Certificate Program by NSHSS is a 10-module program. Each module covers a specific topic that has been deemed by experts to be important for an intern’s success. The topics covered in this program are Core Values, Ownership Conviction, Critical Thinking, Managing Priorities, Communication, Presence, Inclusiveness, Leadership, Relationships, and Managing Difficulties.

The IRCP will pilot in spring 2021 with a series of 10 e-learning modules plus 10 live virtual webinars featuring a variety of guest speakers.
Each of the 10 webinars will be one-hour long, with the entire program spanning 10 weeks, beginning on March 18, 2021.
The webinars are scheduled each Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 PM U.S. EST. *All participants are expected to attend all live sessions.
