Brea Starr
Brea Starr, a Check and Connect para in the Beacon program at Kennedy High School, is dedicated to helping students achieve academic success. Starr works closely with students needing credit recovery, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion where every student feels acknowledged and valued. Currently pursuing her Associate of Science degree, Brea is part of the SpedUP program at Normandale Community College, which has been transformative in breaking down barriers to education. Her journey serves as an inspiring example for both her children and the students she serves at Kennedy High School. She is set to graduate in May.
NSHSS is providing two (2) $2,500 awards to help NSHSS Educators* with the costs of tuition and course-related expenses for teachers and counselors who are enrolling in university courses in Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025.
