Coretta Gholston
Dr. Coretta Gholston has years of experience in education. Dr. Gholston discovered her passion for a lifelong career in education when she completed practicums in different schools while pursuing a Master of Education degree in Secondary English from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. While working with students during the practicums, she believed that teaching was a true "calling from God" for her life. When she obtained her Master of Education degree, she desired to continue learning in the field of Education. Hence, she enrolled at Argosy University to pursue a Doctor of Education Degree in Instructional Leadership. During Dr. Gholston's time in the doctoral program, she worked in several capacities in Education: English Teacher, Adjunct Instructor, Professional Tutor, and Educational Specialist. Dr. Gholston obtained her doctoral degree in April 2014. Currently, Dr. Gholston is an English Instructor at Pike County High School and Enterprise State Community College. In addition, she does contract work as a Teacher Consultant at Troy University. Even though Dr. Gholston has a wealth of experience and knowledge to continue as a phenomenal English Teacher, she is pursuing a certification in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama to become a phenomenal administrator!
