Kim Leslie has taught science over the past 25 years for various amazing organizations across the country, from indoor classrooms to outdoor wonderlands, from public schools to private schools, and for environmental non-profits. She teaches asynchronous online Biology, Physical Science, and Earth Science to incredible students as part of the iChoice Distance Education Department of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District in Alaska. Kim holds a degree in Evolutionary and Environmental Biology from Dartmouth College and a Master's in Teaching Science from Western Governors University. Kim is a huge fan of students being the ones to do the work, make discoveries, and sense-making together. She believes wonder and challenge lead to wisdom and action.

Grants Awarded in 2024: School Supplies Grant

NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is awarding fifteen (15) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
