Melanie Salas
Melanie Salas is an educator with a passion for helping students succeed. As part of Woodstock High's STEM and CTAE programs, the Engineering Lab is where projects are created, and minds are challenged. She facilitates the Technology Student Association and supports its members as they compete in STEM-based challenges and robotics battles. She can be found on mountain trails when she is not working with her TSA student leaders in the Engineering Lab. She is a competitive, trail, and ultra runner and enjoys trails that have a lot of challenge and vertical gain.
Clubs and extracurricular activities allow students to develop leadership skills and find ways to contribute meaningfully to their community. Club advisors and sponsors often support these clubs with their own funds or through fundraising activities. To support our outstanding educators and the clubs they oversee, NSHSS is awarding ten (10) NSHSS Educators a $500 grant to help provide additional opportunities to their student clubs.
