Troy Hammon teaches at Shortridge IB High School in Indianapolis. He has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History with a Geography minor from Ball State University.
Strong advocate for DP Global Politics, APHUG, National History Day, We the People and Project Learning Tree. Sponsor Diplomatic Corps program which includes Model UN as well as Student Environmental Action Corps.
Giving back to the profession as Indiana Council for the Social Studies president; Geography Educators Network of Indiana board member and presenter; Environmental Education Association of Indiana member and presenter; and Indianapolis Sister Cities Teacher and Student Outreach committee volunteer and presenter.
NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is giving four (4) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
