Olivia Adelabu
Olivia Adelabu (North Andover, MA) is a senior at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA. She is the founder of Banana Splits, a club that supports children from divorced families, and leads Girls Advancing in STEM, a club to support girls and women in STEM. Olivia works to educate students about diversity, equity, and inclusion as a member of the People of Color Coalition, the Student Equity and Inclusion Committee, and the Diversity Council. For several years, she has volunteered with the ACLU to increase voter registration in the southern states and volunteers as an election poll worker in her town. During the pandemic, Olivia made face masks for under-resourced communities. Olivia plans to bridge her interests in social justice and neuroscience to study conditions like strokes and Alzheimer’s Disease in marginalized populations.
