Emily Smith is a current senior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she studies Communication. Her experience with communication has ranged from being a journalist with Ka Leo, her schools newspaper, and interning with the State Capitol House of Communications. When she is not interning, she is an avid volunteer in her community and started her own volunteer organization called Lend A Paw (LAP). LAP provides goods and services for animals in need and has an educational program that has reached to over 70,000 students in Hawaii and Japan teaching them about responsible pet ownership.
NSHSS is offering three (3) $1000 scholarships to NSHSS Collegiate Council Members with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who demonstrate specific ways in which they have represented NSHSS.
