Eligibility:
Scholarship Details: The NSHSS Emerging Leader Award recognizes a student who has made a significant impact and positive difference through his/her leadership activities and initiatives. Scholarship funds will be sent to the student’s university prior to the Fall 2021 semester and can be used at any 4-year accredited university.
Application Requirements:
A. In your own words, how do you define leadership?
B. What three words best describe your leadership style and why?
C. Explain how your leadership in a particular activity or initiative has made a positive impact on the lives of others and/or in your community.
About The NSHSS Emerging Leadership Award:
The NSHSS Emerging Leadership Award is sponsored by Morgan Vazquez, President of the NSHSS Fellows Executive Board. Morgan Vazquez, an NSHSS scholarship recipient in 2009, graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University, where she remained actively engaged with NSHSS.
As a Student Council member, Morgan spent time speaking and providing advice to college-bound students and served as an NSHSS representative during Nobel Week at the University of Stockholm. Currently, she is the Global Head of Campus Recruitment & Emerging Talent Programs at BNY Mellon in New York City.
