Shelly Maloney has been a ceramics and visual arts teacher for ten years serving in the Nash and Wilson County area. She works with high school students at Northern Nash, teaching them the fundamentals through advanced pottery methods and how to use their art as a healthy emotional release. She leads many different clubs, including the National Arts Honor Society and Positive Impact, to provide community service art projects for local community members and businesses.
NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is awarding fifteen (15) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
