Tara Wells has been an educator since 2008. She is a 13-year veteran of Elizabeth Seton High School. Tara
serves Seton as a math and science teacher and the Seton Council Moderator. Seton Council
includes members of SGA, NHS, and class officers.
Seton Council is composed of the top elected leaders of the school. Seton Council works collaboratively to plan
special events, such as the spirit-filled Catholic Schools Week, encourages students to support the yearly schoolwide
charity, and discusses issues pertinent to the student body. This important group is often called upon to
represent the school in various ways. There are 24 students who serve on the Seton Council. They are a
phenomenal group of young women delighted to serve their school community!
Clubs and extracurricular activities allow students to develop leadership skills and find ways to contribute meaningfully to their community. Club advisors and sponsors often support these clubs with their own funds or through fundraising activities. To support our outstanding educators and the clubs they oversee, NSHSS is giving ten (10) high school educators a $500 grant to help provide additional opportunities to their student clubs.
