Barnard College of Columbia University is an undergraduate college for women located in New York City. Since 1889, the College has been devoted to providing a rigorous liberal arts education to driven young women.
The High School Pre-College Programs offer female-identifying students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school the opportunity to experience all that Barnard College and NYC has to offer.

offers one-week or four-week opportunity for students to take college-level courses, experience the Beyond the Gates Career and College Prep series, and enjoy excursions and activities throughout NYC.
Summer STEM Seminars offer two-week courses with a lab component for students to sharpen their skills, learn from Barnard faculty, and engage in excursions and activities in NYC.
explores the relationship between gender and leadership as students participate in two weeks of courses, workshops, and site-visits to develop their leadership skills.
allows students to learn about dance as a scholar, dancer, choreographer, and audience member through two weeks of experience in the classroom, studio, and theater.
is a ten-day bootcamp to provide young women with entrepreneurial skills. Students participate in workshops, meet successful women entrepreneurs, and work with a team to create their own venture.

Special scholarship funds have been allocated for NSHSS members. Apply by March 11th to be considered for these scholarships.
Who is Eligible?
Female identifying students entering their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year of high school in Fall 2020. Students must be at least 14 years of age by the first day of their summer program.
International students are welcome to apply to our summer programs. Our programs are non-credit bearing therefore international students do not require a student visa to attend. Our office will provide all international enrollees with a letter of admission and detailed scheduled to apply for a tourist visa.
2 Week Day Student- $4,995
2 Week Resident- $5,750

Resident Student Tuition includes room and meals in the campus dining hall, textbooks and course readers**, MetroCard for duration of program*, (1) Broadway ticket, NYC excursions, Columbia gym membership, $95 campus medical fee.

*Participants are responsible for replacing lost or stolen MetroCards
** Students in Contemporary Studio Art and Architecture of the Everyday will need to purchase additional course supplies on their own. A list will be provided by the professor a month prior to the start of the program.
