The University of Surrey is one of the UK’s top professional, scientific, and technological universities. Named as The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year 2016, Surrey has a world-class profile and a leading reputation in teaching and research.

Our wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses are designed to reflect your needs, and those of society and industry, while also retaining academic rigor. You’ll be supported by world-leading academics whose inspirational research is having a real impact on the world and is receiving important recognition.

A number of our programmes are ranked in the top ten in the UK, including Hospitality and Tourism Management, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Psychology, Drama, and Business Management.

With students from over 120 different countries, we’re proud to be one of the most culturally-diverse universities in the UK. Internationalization permeates all that we do at Surrey, contributing significantly to our mission to solve global challenges, lead research and innovation, and fuel generations of students with a spirit of curiosity and a desire to improve the world we live in.

Global Citizens

The Global Graduate Award (GGA) is part of the University’s Internationalization Strategy, aiming to encourage student mobility, support students who want to spend their Professional Training placement abroad, and enhance student employability in the global marketplace.

The award is open to all students and is free of charge. Students are invited to start a new language, brush-up on a half-forgotten one, or continue with a language they want to keep up in future.

Life at Surrey

Located in the traditional British town of Guildford, just 34 minutes by train from central London, the picturesque campus has a friendly and cosmopolitan feel with students from over 120 countries.

The Students’ Union lies at the heart of campus life and offers a wide range of clubs and societies to help you discover new interests, have fun, and make friends. The Union is split into four zones: Voice, Activity, Support, and Community.
