NSHSS Member Event at Columbia University

Columbia University and NSHSS welcomed over 800 members and their families to New York City for our member event at this prestigious university.

The event kicked off early Saturday morning, September 21, with a breakfast at Alfred Lerner Hall before members huddled into the auditorium for the welcome ceremony. Members got to participate in a panel discussion with fellow NSHSS members who are students at Columbia University where they had the opportunity to ask questions and get a clearer view of what life is like at the college level. Next, members and their families took a self-guided tour of the university and met with college and career recruiters at the College & Career Fair.

Attendees gathered in Alfred Lerner Hall to listen to a CIA workshop and better understand what it takes to be a member of the prestigious CIA organization before lunch. Once members returned from lunch, they attended the Member Recognition Ceremony. This is where members receive their honor medallion on stage.
