NSHSS Scholar's Day 2018 in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 2,000 scholars, parents, and educators from 44 states and 10 countries gathered in Washington, D.C. to participate in Scholar’s Day 2018, NSHSS’s largest event of the year.

This 2-day event kicked off Friday afternoon on August 3rd, with Student Exhibition presentations, highlighting STEM & Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Leadership, and World Betterment projects, followed by the College & Career Fair, shopping the NSHSS store, a keynote speech from Dr. James Downing, President & Chief Executive Officer of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, concluding the night with welcome sessions for members and parents.

Day two began with 12 early morning breakout sessions on writing college essays, preparing successful scholarship applications, SAT and/or ACT strategy sessions, CIA Student Opportunities panel, and more! The afternoon featured another opportunity to shop the NSHSS store, culminating with the Member Recognition Ceremony announcing the 2018 scholarship recipients, top educators of the year, and recognizing our newest high-achieving scholars!
