NSHSS Member Event at University of Massachusetts Amherst
The University of Massachusetts – Amherst (UMass) and NSHSS welcomed members and their families for the first member event of 2020.
The event kicked off early Sunday morning, February 16, with a networking breakfast before the program started.
Members heard from Sarah Craig, Director of Summer Programs and Xiomara Delobato, Associate Director of Diversity and Enrollment. Attendees then listened to a CIA workshop to better understand what it takes to be a member of the prestigious CIA organization. After the CIA workshop attendees broke up into groups for guided tours around the UMass campus and exploring the College and Career fair.
Once members returned from the tours and lunch, they heard from lecturers that represented four different programs: Journalism, Human Health & Movement “Kinesiology”, Sports Management, and Modern Astronomy. The event wrapped up with the Member Recognition Ceremony, where members received their honor medallion on stage.
