Generation Z Takes the Spotlight in the National Society of High School Scholars’ Annual Career Interest Survey

ATLANTA, April 22, 2017 – The National Society of High School Scholars Foundation (NSHSS Foundation) and the Captain Planet Foundation (CPF) today announced the winners of their 5th annual Earth Day competition. 10 winners were chosen to receive a $500 award to implement their Earth Day project or use towards education-related expenses. The international Earth Day competition award applicants submit projects that demonstrate environmental stewardship, leadership and volunteerism.

Atlanta, GA, March 28, 2017 – The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), an international honor society dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment, announces today that Alexa Rains of Franklin, TN, a junior at the University of Alabama, has won a $5,000 scholarship from The Intern Group. The Intern Group is a leading provider of international internship programs in London, New York, China, Europe, Australia and Latin America. The scholarship covers a 6-week internship program in summer 2017 at any of The Intern Group’s international program locations.

University of Hong Kong: A Dialogue with Mr. Nobel

On Saturday, March 26, 2017, The National Society of High School Scholars, along with NSHSS Collaborating university partner The University of Hong Kong, hosted the first member event of the year. This event brought together over 200 high-achieving Hong Kong high school students to hear about opportunities within the United States for college preparation and scholarship funding. Co-Founder and Chairman of NSHSS Mr. Claes Nobel shared with the student his message of universal peace and asked them to to be good stewards of the earth. James Lewis, Co-Founder and President of NSHSS, provided an overview of NSHSS and shared scholarship opportunities for Hong Kong students wanting to study abroad in the United States. Advice was also given to students from Alumni members of The University of Hong Kong on tips and tools for success while in college.

Maximize your summer break by enrolling in a pre-college program. Many NSHSS Collaborating Universities have summer programs for high school students, and several of them are offering discounts and scholarships exclusively for NSHSS Members.
